關於本活動

Mid-Autumn Festiva aims to celebrate and share Chinese culture with a broader audience. These events promote cultural exchange, community building, and education about traditional customs. They help preserve traditions, celebrate diversity, and provide opportunities for family and social gatherings. Additionally, they enhance the visibility and recognition of Chinese cultural celebrations, enriching the cultural landscape of the community.

The Mid-Autumn Festival, dating back to the Shang dynasty (c. 1600-1046 BCE), is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese lunar calendar. Traditionally, it involves moon worship and thanksgiving for the harvest. People gather to admire the full moon, share mooncakes symbolizing unity, and light lanterns representing hope. Activities include solving lantern riddles, traditional performances, and family gatherings. The festival centers around themes of reunion, gratitude, and celebration, remaining one of the most important cultural festivals in Chinese history.
